Holding the letter
My heart beats faster
I push the window open
To let the full moon
Replace my heart

This has quite startling strength and beauty with those last two lines. A simple image but huge.

This does exactly what a short poem does best!  Very Zen.

I missed this, and agree with the praise. Sharp and lucid. Perfect.

Well, I agree: this was a surprise, and a pleasant one. Since it's my pick this week, I'll send it up.

Must have been some letter. I appreciate the brevity of your poem.  Well done.

This is so well picked and deservedly so. May I add how great it is to have someone from the great and ancient civilization of China with us on the forum.

Although I don't dig using "heart" twice in such a small poem, I like this one. Might I suggest "chest" as a replacement for one?

Best,
Joe

Sorry Joe, I disagree. Using 'heart' twice and getting away with it adds to the poem's charm.
Enjoying reading this every day richard.
