he's got

John Yamrus
he’s got
dark
tenement windows
on 9th street…
peeled plaster
on the walls…
a bedroom,
a bath,
a refrigerator
with 2 moldy pears
sitting in a bowl
on top…
a beat-up
Philco TV
that picks up
channel 29
when the weather’s right…
and the glory
of his life
is this cute
little Puerto Rican
girl
he calls
Jack Daniels
because
she goes down
real
real
smooth.

I should know better than to read you while I'm talking to my mom.
How can I tell her what I'm laughing about!
Good one!

Hittin' all cylinders, John. Good to see some new work.
It'll go up for sure.

Now that is visual imagery. A keeper with an ending I did not expect. Good job...

That ending has a certain film noir/detective comic book feel to it. 'What a broad...'
Nice work.
