Ouch! I think we've all had bloodthirsty thoughts, but this one is particularly apt.

dear Pam

i shall never inquire as to how blood thirsty your dreams have really been.

rather late in the day to have a circumcision!

perhaps the circumcision was what the editor did to her work ?

and maybe Rick is right it is time for more blue ink rather than red

thanks for looking in Rashmi

Definitely! And the debate over the merits of circumcision echoes the pros and cons of so many editing suggestions.

silent all apologies for arriving late to the party.  i never grade in red as they say it draws attention to all the wrong parts and shatters confidence.  if only editors were as considerate!  but then again, there's something to be said for a woman's number written in corvette red lipstick.  lawrence

At first the Ancient Egyptians extracted red dye from fucus-algin, iodine, and some bromine mannite, which resulted in serious illness
leading to it being known as The Kiss Of Death.

Cleopatra had her lipstick made from crushed carmine beetles, which gave a deep red pigment, and ants for a base.
