  demagnetized
« on: January 06, 2012, 09:17:30 AM » by StellaR

perhaps it signalled
an impending
polar switch

inexplicably,
she found
her intentions
redirected,
north to south,

her equator
frozen

Nice one, Stella.  It's hard to do extended meta4s, and you pull it off skillfully.

Stella,

Many congrats, and as silent says, I find the global/personsal scale is very fine.

This is interesting, but I don't understand it. The beginning seems to suggest a movement toward the erogenous zone. But then you talk about equator being frozen, which suggests frigidity. The suggestions go in opposite directions.

Richard, very kind of you

Karl, thanks for taking the time to reply. I guess the only thing I can say is not to take the piece too literally ~ as you say, the suggestions go in opposite directions. It was actually written after watching a documentary on the following subject.

http://www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/lookingatearth/29dec_magneticfield.html

The sexual inferences were purely accidental. Or were they? I can't remember now.

Merci beaucoup, Casey!

Pam, most appreciated!Thank you.

Perfect, Stella. I always find something wonderful from you every time I stop by PoetryCircle for a visit - which, given the date your poem was posted, isn't often enough.
