Silent - do you post your work this way for any reasons, other than purely artistic ones?

Roger

dear Roger

over the years it has been brought to my notice that my poems are grabbed from the page
and posted in other people's blogs, websites etc etc

before i posted them as jpgs they were all tooo often re-posted elsewhere with typos,
and if you can believe it also changes & sometimes new type faces and new layouts as well
and frequently with out even a reference to the author

so i found it more reassuring to offer them first in a way that would help to retain their authenticity

many years ago i was also creating visual art........and i preferred to explicitly exhibit my paintings without a frame
yet i gave much attention to matting & framing my limited edition prints ......but of course prints get sold most often without framing
and it could be quite an eye opener to come into exhibition spaces , public as well as private, and see how
the choices varied with framing the prints and how it had an effect on the overall caché of the aesthetics
of the original work.

thanks for asking

Hi silent,

Thanks fro ther info - I wondered if it was something like that, and the layouts work so well.

Regards,

Roger

thank you Karl

what screen are you using , hand held, laptop , desktop  ?

no one has ever pointed out that problem before
they are standard jpgs

but they would become blurry if the entire page was enlarged too much
