Hello from Alabama

Hello poets --
It is a very quiet and rainy day in Alabama but I like the rain. After a long illness, it has been a pleasure to get back to my writing and to perhaps expand out into the poetry community again. Like many of you I bet, I don't remember when I did not write or have my nose in a book. It really gives me a lot of joy, almost as much as my husband of many years and our cat. I am crippled and write from home full-time now when I can -- after writing, editing and doing graphic design work as a government contractor (a.k.a. the lowest form of life). I wrote and published a fair amount in the late '80s and early '90s and I've published a few things on the Internet since. Publications I remember: Poem, Piedmont Literary Review, The MacGuffin, Touchstone, Amelia, Whiskey Island, Sun Dog, Green's Magazine, Bogg, etc.. Not that it matters, we actually lost them all when our house was attacked by black mold. Can you believe that??? It was like a science-fiction movie. So I have nothing old made of paper, not journals, not my husband's artwork. Really, it's all been quite cleansing. If nothing else, like the Army, it's been an adventure... :)
I use voice software now so if something doesn't sound right, we'll blame that. Looking forward to knowing you all...
