a unicycle costs roughly half as much as a bicycle
and that's the first thing that's made sense to me in a while

but allowed me to exchange pieces

as if throwing stones
was all he should expect

because he married the girl of his dreams

I just got back from the Dominican Republic
to a foot of snow on an eight car lane way.
In Inuit there are 60 words for the stuff,
Spanish just one.

hope you don't mind if i include one of my own:

The pen is mightier than the sword
it wrote the three little words:
God.

Rashmi, I don't mind at all,
and thanks!

I can't believe I forgot my pen and paper on my holiday.
My mind was in a sunny gear.

take a human being and remove all the space
what's left barely fills a thimble
everything else is the memory of you

still pull you in, out of nowhere
even if capital is missing its c

Success and failure
are two extreme poles;
cold.

In between are
warmer climes; I'm
told

the scales hold without dipping.

of perspective
I write on lines
that converge

he traded character for persnicketiness
a general on his hill

alongside forefathers
and legends

grains and skin
the taste of midnight dew
to his lips

he sold a real past
for distinction in the digital age

it's my birthday

and I feel I'm sliding down a big tube
or I'm on a hill with gravity pulling
not pushing
and a big bucket sits at the bottom
and I'm sure my foot will make contact

and how are you?

he swivelled from the white board
to the board table with a marker in his hand

you should have been at my all staff
last Friday afternoon. he called it all staff
and was smiling

it took more time than expected
for everyone to understand

I think this pretty much answers the question
what if Al Pacino or Robert De Niro could play the drums
and was born Canadian:

the ash made a hockey stick
as it hung from his mouth

i don't see it said the first
eyes blurred, a masterpiece is a masterpiece
even if a million people say so

said the second
but i don't see it either

when it explained the firefly
