far beyond her fragile years
I just couldn’t get past the spinach
dangling from her teeth

This is lovely, James! In L1, you might either cut "such" or add a comma at "wisdom", the oddness (to my ear) of the construction you have is distracting. -Tom

james after working with geriatrics for two years this takes me right back to the beige sea shell cafe, ah the smell of the applesauce and okra. i think you could very well scratch 'such' and not loose a thing. lawrence
