I do not understand the use of "funds" or why the mother has "three" gravestones, but the poem does present a touching picture.

last stanaza and liked it better that way.

of course there are myriads of interpretations

yet one might be that the 'funds' are 'the where with all' to finally find
a way to put her mothers influence in her life to rest.
