funny.  but in a twisted way, not so much.  seems like we often [women or men, girls or boys] think we've a prince/princess, but in the morning there're warts we just couldn't see in the heat.

Really like this Rick.  I think what I like best is use of the word 'amazement'--she's in realization of something new, but still innocent, not bitter.  Love it.

I would be interested to see this made longer; it seems a summation rather than a poem, to me. . . but it is intriguing, and I want to know more about her.

To put it another way, in this one it seems to me you encourage the reader to imagine the characters and what happens, more than you show us.  But this may be what you wanted to do.

Rick, I, too, have experienced that feeling...the words come and I feel lucky to get them down...
As you know, question often is "to revise" or "not to revise"...certainly we run a danger in tinkering too much. I guess it takes a long time to learn; I'm still learning it, myself...slowly.

Pulse??? Pulse???????? What, kiss? Prince?? frog????? I'm not amazed and I couldn't give a shit how many princes that happened to.

The point of the poem; to characterise woman as sluts who kiss lots o princes. Hmmm. What a pulse. When you say pulse, do you actually mean abyss?
