Have you ever taken any on-line creative writing classes or joined any on line workshops? Which ones? How were they? Are you in any at present? Would you recommend any?
Thanks,
Rick

Hi, Rick,
I'm a member at a number of online workshops and a moderator at two of them. Would I recommend any of them? Not without knowing the poet's interest in the craft.
There are hundreds of "friendlies". These lack an active technical forum and feature light critique. Of these, "Wild" and "Desert Moon Review" are good choices for those interested in participating in the InterBoard Poetry Contest. "Zoetrope" has a format about as unique as PoetryCircle's.
Only a tiny minority of poets at any level know or care about the difference between diarrhea and diaresis or whether "Prufrock" is free verse or metrical. For such people, the "serious" sites offer expert advice and critique. The three biggies are Eratosphere, Gazebo and PFFA. Newcomers are encouraged to lurk for a few months while absorbing the jargon and reading some of the technical articles.
