  Offered an Ultimatum
« on: March 11, 2010, 12:51:40 AM » by joseph lofgren

Tracks scrutinize belonging,
look back, wonder existence—
weigh thoughtful importance
on substance, remembrance,
choices that preclude certainty.

He does some in two's and four's,
others in three's. Obsessive anti
dote, symptomatic routine
pressure, repetition, encumbered
by devices nearing habituation.

Everyday mishaps seen variable,
changeable, speculative, somehow
fixable through surveillance, back
wards analysis, shape shift
the ability to commit or suffer.

Hey everyone, sorry to shamelessly resurrect this one, just wanted to see if there were any thoughts--thanks!

I don't think you were hoping for mine, but here goes.  I like the way the words sound, but nothing speaks to me in it.  It's not clear to me what you're getting at.
