« on: March 07, 2010, 09:39:39 AM » by J. C. Stairs
Hi, it’s Vinnny Junes with PoemWow!
You’ll be saying “Wow” with every vowel.
It’s not Haiku. It’s not a sonnet.
PoemWow!!! Guaranteed to make you want it.

And if you read PoemWow now,
at this special poem site price,
you’ll not only get the first stanza
but you’ll get this second one too
at no additional cost to you.

Now follow along with me.
Let’s take look at what we have so far.
You get the first stanza with four lines, twenty-seven words and punctuation.
The second stanza with five lines, thirty-two words, two commas and a period.
But wait, that’s not all,
by reading PoemWow now
you get this third stanza, a fourth stanza and a single line ending absolutely free.

One more time. It’s PoemWow.
Two stanzas with lines, words and punctuation.
Two additional stanzas and the single line with astrick and period.
That’s a total of twenty-four lines and one hundred ninty-nine words
for the low price of a reading. But wait, there’s more.
If you act now by reading PoemWow again
I’ll double this offer. Just tell ‘em Vinny Junes sent ya.

*spelling and punctuation not guaranteed, offer not valid in all states of mind.

This is like poetic feedback (as in guitar amps). Wonderful. Great punch-line.

Excellent - love it. As I've got it now I think I'll get my money's worth and read it several more times!

Dear Vinny, love the energy with which you create, but who's June?

This is so funny.  Great.

Nice to know I got a smile out of you all.

Cheryl - I took the last name of Junes from the late Billy Mays.

John, I went and listened to Tom Waits do "Step Right Up" on You Tube. What a cool bit it was!!! Not quite sure my poem ranks up there with it but I will take the compliment.

Here's the link for anyone interested.

dear JC & John

very nice clip from Tom Waits.......

also brought up memories of Waits & Roberto Benigni
in the movie Down By Law from Jim Jarmusch circa 1986.

and in the vein of that you might enjoy the voice of Artie Kaplan " Bensonhurst Blues "
