The front page of the Myerstown (Pa.) Merchandiser. The article incorrectly identifies him as the "prize winner" (the prize has not been awarded yet!) But it's great to see one of our editors in the newspaper. The article was scheduled to run in several other publications owned by the same company so you may see it show up in your own home town!

yeah, the editor actually wrote the headline. they're running it in three other of their affiliated papers (weeklies) on march 10th, with proper corrections...such as a new headline and some changes on the body of the article, too. but, what the heck, at least they spelled the name right!
p.s. thanks for the plug lavonne!

That article is a darn good read. I'm sure the editor will agee when they read it!

i think i've become the poster boy for not sitting back and HOPING your work gets read. i've always felt a very real debt to those people who are crazy enough to spend their hard earned money to put my poems in print.

thanks, david. i really appreciate it. i think it's simply a matter of hanging around for so long. i've been doing this for 41 years now, and my poetry's no great shakes, but i've managed to fool enough people into thinking that it is. that being said, please go to epicrites.org and pick up a copy of my new one. those guys really deserve the support.
