  hello there
« on: July 17, 2006, 04:30:11 AM » by Jeremy
hi, im Jeremy.  I started writing poetry two years ago and havent looked back since then.  im fascinated by the english language and i know there is still so much to learn.  haha so much its almost daunting. im currently halfway through grade eleven hope to go to University study poetry and get a teaching degree for english.  As well dont assume i write teenage angst poems just because i haha am a teenager i try to stay away from that type of poetry.  look forward to meeting you all here and commenting on the poems.

I've  heard we were good with ketchup myself, but hot sauce makes more sense.

I started writing seriously at about your age. Personally, I don't know why teen angst is more disdained than any other kind. I have a daughter about your age and I think her life is usually more dramatic then mine.

Good luck with your writing!

Welcome! Poetry: a long (dramatic time to time), but a rewarding way, a good choice (in terms of life) finally. I started writing poetry at your age with the very goal to impress girls, friends and teachers. It worked sometimes, by the way… Yet, step by step it has become less a game and more a serious matter. Now, at 42, I am just trying to avoid that it should not become too serious. Good luck!
