in today's ny times, article begins:

Abandon All Poetry, but Enter Hell With an Attitude
By DAVE ITZKOFF
There’s a new edition of Dante’s “Inferno” that’s recently begun appearing in bookstores. Same words. Different cover. It’s got a big picture of a muscular fellow in a spiky crown and an overline that says, “The literary classic that inspired the epic video game.”

game out feb. 9, who's going to buy it and try it?

not me.  is this serious?  lol  well, I'm answering it like it is.  can't abandon all poetry, not even some of it, and I wouldn't enter hell for anything, much less with an attitude, I'd be pride-stricken to be there in the first place.

and I don't generally play video games because they lose my interest.  now, something like 'law and order', 'csi', or 'clue' might be fun, but would I have to play it by myself or a robot in the monitor?  most games aren't fun without someone to play with.  and it would have to be ultra fun for me to abandon all poetry.  well...I just wouldn't.

so what about you?  are you going to try it?

if so, I, for one would like to know what it's like.  can't deny the fact an inferno in hell would definitely give a gameplayer some competition.  but you have to be a gameplayer first.  when do you have time to play games.

ok, shuttin' up now.

A poet dares be just so clear and no clearer.... He unzips the veil from beauty, but does not remove it.  A poet utterly clear is a trifle glaring.  ~E.B. White
