he sat companioned to soft leather
compact in dog-day slippers
his name somewhere else
goings on go on
argument discussions temptation
distress medical drama
even disaster
his english walls with their
weatherboard scales
no defence
loud prevails
till the power clicks
only breath then
winding down

Hey Kevin,
I think I like this...I need to read again...I did stumble up on the first line of V2...it feels so ordinary comparatively.

Hey! Warm thanks Stella, Tim, Lynn, for read and response. I'm enjoying this pen. Thinking of trying a group, with this, "The Skittish Man" and some yet to be's.
Tim - you may have caught something re that first line s2... will give it more thought.

Good 'un, Kevin. Wonder if the 'only' could come of the penultimate line? Unsure though.

where can i score a pair of those "dog-day slippers"? this sounds great throughout kevin, enjoy the pace and tone here. in light of tim's comment, maybe fiddle to "perpetually going on"? enjoy this recent voice kevin, keep on it. -lawrence
