So I've been looking for a forum to share my work and this one seems to be just what I'm looking for. I'm primarily a musician and songwriter, but I find poetry cathartic in a different way than music. I'm a straight-edge zen buddhist, I read a lot of Bukowski and Kerouac, and I'm pretty much always lovesick for someone. Nice to meet you.

I appreciate your interest Sue. The picture is actually the logo for my acoustic solo-project. It's simply a plus-minus symbol filled with a picture of the sky as the sun reflects off the clouds.

Well, David, since straight edge is the absence of alcohol and drugs and zen is the absence of everything, they technically lie in the same quadrant. But then again, if I were truly adherent to the depths of zen, then my introduction post would have simply been blank, haha.
