Maybe I am mildly dyslecksiixxic, but no matter how many times I try to memorize them, there are some that never stick, so I'm starting a list. Feel free to add your own.

Wow, those two piss me off; more to come, I'm sure.

Try to remember broccoli by the double c
As a Canadian, I am well used to our proclivity for u's here and there but am puzzled by the following:
Humour is acceptable, humourous is sometimes tolerated, however, humourously is considered obsolete and most often spelled humorously.

I'm so old, they may not have figured out that last part when I made the grades; OR, as with so much else, that part slipped off the radar screen. Perhaps I'll remember it now . . . ? nah.

Frequently used words I've problems with are prosenchyma and sphragistics. It's a real bind.

You brought back the old spelling/prounounciation (did I spell that right?) rules.
We learned:
I before E except after C
or when sounding like A
as in Neighbor and Neigh.
And
When two vowels go walking
the first does the talking. (But that's backwards in German!)
There must have been more but they escape me!

guarantee - I can never spell it right - never! and bureau - if I just type it without thinking it turns out okay, but if I hesitate even slightly, I foul it up.
